Attention Signals

Use attention signals at any time during a lesson to prepare for various activities
 or to get students quiet. These are my favourite ones.
I hope you find something you can use with your students.

Teacher says:	Students  answer:
Hocus Pocus	Everybody Focus!
1,2,3 Look at me! 1,2,3 Listen to me!	1,2 Look at you! 1,2 Listen to you!
Scooby Dooby Doo!	Where are you?
1,2,3 eyes on me	4,5,6 close your lips
Ready Set	You bet!
Macaroni and Cheese	Everybody Freeze!
Zip it, Lock it!	Put it in your pocket!
Ready to Rock!	Ready to Roll!
Hands on top!	That means stop! (put both hands on the head)
Are you focused?	Yes, I am!
Chicka chicka!	Boom! Boom!
If you can hear my voice clap once! If you can hear my voice clap twice! If you can hear my voice clap three times!	Students clap.
Flat tire?	Sshhhh
Class,class! (very the tone, volume, speed)	Yes,yes!
